Below is some information regarding the history of Orly Nailpolish. I recently fell in love with an amazing red glittery colour! See photos too :-)

HISTORY

When Jeff Pink founded ORLY in 1975, he was motivated by a simple idea: to innovate natural nail care. By creating leading-edge products and tools designed not only to beautify, but to respond to the needs of salon professionals, Jeff Pink redefined nail care and nail fashion.

For over 33 years, in over 66 countries, ORLY nail care products have been the manicurist’s choice for nail strength, adhesion, wearability, dry time and shine.

THE ORIGINAL FRENCH MANICURE®

Jeff Pink created this versatile look to complement Hollywood starlets' entire onset wardrobe. This 'natural nail look' was then introduced on the fashion runways of Paris, where it became an instant classic. From that point on, this iconic look became known as “The French Manicure”.

Today, the French Manicure prevails as the ultimate in nail chic, and is one of the top-selling nail looks worldwide!

Lashes, Lashes, Lashes!

Rise and Shine sleepy heads!

After I bid farewell to a good friend last night, I wake up to find a pair of lashes sitting beside me! Which I obviously pulled off my eyes in despair, just so that I could sleep comfortably :-) oppssss

This has 'inspired' me to write a blog on three sets of lashes I recently bought.

The first set of lashes is by red cherry and I have posted the link for you at the bottom so you could see where I buy my lashes from. If your going for the 'twiggy' underlashes look these are perfect! I personally would not wear them for just any occasion cause they are a tad long but hey to each his own!

The other set are from Japonesque and I have not yet worn them due to the thick stem and them not being flexible, im not sure I will feel so comfortable with such a 'heavy' eyelash sitting on my eye. But perfect for a night out or any party!

The trick to concealing the stem, is to apply your eyeshadow beforehand and one layer of mascara. I myself, never apply mascara to the eyelashes after I have stuck them on, as I feel you ruin them quicker and they become all clumpy.

The best way to apply the lashes is by using Duo eyelash adhesive in clear used by every makeup artist out there. Well maybe not everyone but most professionals. The glue in the box which come with every set of lashes just doesn't do it for me. The glue is actually a white colour, obviously so you can see where you are placing the lash, though once you give it time it will dry clear and not leave any mess! Also it is waterproof perfect for summer. The trick is once you have applied the glue to the lash do not and I repeat DO NOT apply it straight away to the lash, also hold it with a pair of tweezers and wave it about for 30 seconds to allow the glue to get tacky and not remain runny. Voila!

The set of lashes which I am highly addicted to at the moment are purchased from Sleek Makeup, at a cheap price and well worth it! The stem is flexible and the lashes give a natural look but at the same time emphasise your eyes :-) If I am not mistaken they are called 'Rio'.

Well that's all for now guys!

Hope you enjoyed this, and it will come to somewhat use now or in the future :-)

Mad4Makeup Reviews - Intro!

Welcome to Mad4Makeup Reviews!!

In the coming weeks I will be posting various makeup and beauty products after reviewing them and telling you guys what I really think, basically if they are a waste of space or if they are worth spending money on, making it easier for you to choose products :-)

Just a little introduction about myself and how I came about to start blogging about different products. My name is Rochelle and I come from a small island called Malta, where the world of makeup and beauty has still a long way to go, although many people try unfortunately the same three makeup artists always seem to be on every programme, fashion show, photoshoot, event etc with not much space for other upcoming makeup artists to squeeze there way through. No hate guys! I have decided to do something "different" and something I genuinely love to talk about and hope to meet many other bloggers and makeup lovers! I currently work as a beauty therapist and spa receptionist. Having worked in "many" hotels in Malta I have always gone back to the same place - makeup. Following other bloggers and YouTube gurus my interest in makeup has grown everyday and one of my biggest dreams would be to attend one of the best schools in London AOFM! Obviously being very pricey I have to keep that dream to myself for another day :-)

In February I will be coming up to London and attending the world famous IMATS, for you guys that don't know what this is, look it up! An international makeup artist trade show hosting different student competitions and demos, makeup talks with many YouTube gurus, well known makeup artists and also lots and lots of MAKEUP for sale!! Will be posting photos of this day very soon, also hope to get my photo taken with PIXIWOO!

Anyways let the blogging begin! Hope you all enjoy my blogs and feedback is always appreciated!

xoxo
